History

DanTruck-Heden Lifttruck A/S is the result of the 2000 merger of the two former competitors in the Danish market: DanTruck and Heden. Both companies were founded in the early 1960s, and thus benefit from almost half a century of experience in building quality forklifts, designed for Europe and the highly demanding Scandinavian market.

From the outset, Heden put its emphasis on rugged rough-terrain forklifts, able to cope with the demands of work environments such as sawmills, timber yards and building sites. In this segment of the market, Heden is recognised as one of the best. Throughout the years Heden has had a dominant position on its domestic market in Denmark.

DanTruck moved in another direction. From the very beginning, DanTruck focused on developing compact and modern forklifts, primarily for the industrial sector.

DanTruck has established itself with a fine position on the domestic market. However, it is particularly on the export markets throughout Europe that DanTruck's State-of-the-Art environmentally friendly forklifts have made themselves known and respected.

Today, DanTruck-Heden is recognised as a market leader when it comes to overall quality, operating costs as well as the typical Scandinavian virtues such as cabin ergonomics, noise levels and emissions. Both our diesel and LPG forklift trucks combine high power output and efficiency with being the most environmentally friendly in the world.

In forty years of building forklifts, DanTruck-Heden has produced a combined total of close to 10 000 forklifts. Most of them still work tirelessly in Denmark, and abroad.

These are years of immense change at DanTruck-Heden. We grow at a high rate, spearheaded by our export, which now makes up about 90% of our turnover.
